Who we are?

Centre for Youth and Development is a local development non-governmental organization with an innovative people-led approach to delivering United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Children, Youth and Women are the main focus of our development work, and all of our interventions are anchored and centred on sectors of Education, Health and Economic Empowerment, empowering individuals so they build opportunities and responsibilities to develop societies in which others have the right to do better.

Our pathways for change

Education

The Overall goal is to promote access to high quality education for disadvantaged children and young people in the targeted locations across all levels of education in Malawi from Early childhood development through to tertiary education

Healthier Lives

The Overall goal is to secure sustained health for children, youth and women in target locations by tackling underlying key causes of ill health, primarily focussing our attention on WASH, sexual and reproductive health (SRH) adoption of positive health behaviours.

Empowerment

The Overall goal is to secure sustainable income and food security for children, youth and women in target locations by expanding opportunities in entrepreneurship, agriculture, Employment, civic voice and rights and general community development.
